How to track your account using Tradovate's built-in Account module

Tradovate’s built-in Account module provides live tracking of account values, offering a streamlined way to monitor your trading data. Follow these steps to add and customize the Account module within Tradovate.

Step 1: Launch Tradovate and Access Module Selection

  1. Open Tradovate: Launch Tradovate’s web interface or desktop application.

  2. Add New Module: Click the Plus (+) button to open the module selection window.

Step 2: Add the Accounts Module

  1. Drag the Accounts Module: From the module selection window, drag the Accounts module into your workspace. This module will allow you to view real-time data, including account value, balance, and other relevant metrics.

Step 3: Customize Column Display

  1. Open Settings: Click the Settings Cog icon within the Accounts module.

  2. Select Columns: Customize your display by choosing which columns to track. Select desired columns from the left panel and drag them into the Visible section on the right.

Suggested Columns for Monitoring

  • Account Value: Displays your current total account value.

  • Daily P&L: This shows your profit or loss for the current day.

  • Buying Power: Tracks available capital for trades.

  • Open Positions: Monitors any active trades.

These columns provide a comprehensive overview of key account metrics, enabling better-informed trading decisions.
