Reasons for Restriction
To maintain a secure trading environment, ETF actively monitors IP addresses to ensure transparency and accountability. The use of IP-masking tools disrupts this process by concealing the origin of user access. Such concealment poses risks, including unauthorized access and potential security breaches, thereby compromising the secure environment ETF strives to offer.
Prohibited Technologies
The following are explicitly prohibited:
- VPS (Virtual Private Servers): Used to run separate operating systems, these can mask the true location of a user.
- VPNs (Virtual Private Networks): By encrypting and rerouting IP addresses, VPNs create an anonymous connection, making it challenging to verify user locations.
- TOR Network: TOR anonymizes browsing by routing traffic through multiple servers, making it impossible to trace the origin.
- Proxy Servers and IP Masking Tools: Any service that reroutes or disguises IP information is not allowed.
Enforcement and Consequences
ETF monitors user IP activity using tools like IPQualityScore to detect and prevent the use of such services. Violating this policy is considered a serious breach of ETF’s terms and may result in:
- Account Suspension or Termination: Immediate action to disable user access.
- Permanent Ban: Users found repeatedly violating the policy may face a permanent ban.
Compliance
ETF appreciates user cooperation in following this policy to uphold a secure and transparent trading environment. For questions regarding acceptable IP usage, please reach out to ETF support.
