TradingView - Selecting the Right Contract to Trade

To trade on TradingView with Elite Trader Funding (ETF), you need to choose a specific contract and expiration month. Rolling tickers like NQ, NQ1!, and NQ2! are not supported for trading and cannot be selected. Follow these steps to select the correct contract:

Steps to Find the Latest Contract

  1. Search for the Instrument: Begin by searching for the specific instrument you wish to trade, such as NQ (Nasdaq 100 Futures). Ensure it’s supported by ETF.

  2. Expand Contract Options: In the search results, you’ll see a small arrow next to the instrument ticker (e.g., NQ). Click this arrow to expand available contracts.

  3. Select the Closest Expiration Month: From the expanded list, choose the contract with the expiration month closest to the current date. This ensures you’re trading on an active, near-term contract.(Screenshot Placeholder: Contract selection interface with expanded options and month selection)

Example

If trading Nasdaq 100 Futures (NQ), expand the ticker selection and choose the contract that has the nearest upcoming expiration date. This step is essential for keeping trades current and compliant with ETF policies.
